M700 // CUT DOWN TO THE ESSENTIALS.

The Matrix Real Wood M700 Sawed-Off Compact Airsoft Gas Sniper Rifle Pistol by DB – Brown is one of those airsoft platforms that doesn’t neatly fit into an ordinary category.

It carries the mechanical character of a gas-powered M700-style bolt-action platform.

Then it completely changes the proportions.

The long rifle furniture is replaced by an extremely compact configuration built around:

REAL WOOD + FULL METAL.

The result is an unconventional bolt-action airsoft pistol with a short overall profile, traditional wood-and-metal presentation, adjustable iron sights, adjustable hop-up and a manually operated bolt system.

For collectors looking for something different from another conventional GBB pistol or full-length airsoft rifle, the compact M700 immediately stands apart.

REAL WOOD

NOT IMITATION WOODGRAIN.

One of the most important features of this model is its:

HIGH-QUALITY REAL WOOD FURNITURE.

The brown wood creates the classic appearance expected from an older-style bolt-action platform while contrasting naturally against the dark metal components.

Because genuine wood is a natural material, grain pattern, colour, tone and minor cosmetic characteristics can vary from one example to another.

That variation is part of the appeal.

No two real-wood examples will necessarily look completely identical.

FULL METAL

THE OTHER HALF OF THE FORMULA.

The real wood is paired with:

FULL-METAL CONSTRUCTION.

The combination gives this compact M700 a very different appearance and feel from polymer-bodied airsoft pistols.

Metal components dominate the action and upper assembly, while the wood forms the traditional furniture surrounding the platform.

It’s a simple combination:

BROWN REAL WOOD

COMPACT BOLT-ACTION PROPORTIONS.

MANUAL BOLT

THE M700 EXPERIENCE IN MINIATURE.

Rather than using a semi-automatic gas blowback operating system, this platform is built around a:

MANUALLY OPERATED BOLT ACTION.

The smooth-pull bolt is cycled manually between shots, giving the compact M700 the distinctive mechanical operation associated with a bolt-action airsoft platform.

The supplied specifications also highlight:

LIGHT BOLT TRAVEL

and a:

LIGHT TRIGGER PULL.

That keeps the operating system straightforward and reinforces the unusual miniature-rifle character of the design.

COMPACT

VERY COMPACT.

The defining feature is right in the name:

SAWED-OFF COMPACT.

This isn’t simply an M700 with a slightly shorter barrel.

The proportions have been dramatically reduced to create a pistol-style format while retaining the visual and mechanical cues of the larger bolt-action family.

That compact profile makes the DB-built Matrix M700 one of the more unusual gas-powered airsoft designs for collectors who want something outside the normal pistol, SMG and rifle categories.

IRON SIGHTS

ADJUSTABLE FRONT + REAR.

Despite the abbreviated dimensions, the compact M700 includes:

ADJUSTABLE FRONT + REAR SIGHTS.

The traditional iron-sight arrangement suits the stripped-back character of the platform and avoids overwhelming the compact upper with oversized components.

Adjustment should be performed according to the manufacturer’s documentation and within the intended adjustment range of the sight system.

ADJUSTABLE HOP-UP

CONTROL OVER BB FLIGHT.

Inside the platform is an:

ADJUSTABLE HOP-UP SYSTEM.

Hop-up applies controlled backspin to an airsoft BB and allows the platform to be configured for different BB and environmental conditions.

Overall performance still depends on several factors, including BB quality and weight, hop condition, barrel cleanliness, gas consistency, temperature and maintenance.

For that reason, adjustable hop-up should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a particular range or accuracy figure.

GAS POWERED

DIFFERENT FROM SPRING BOLT ACTION.

Although the M700 is manually cycled, it is a:

GAS-POWERED AIRSOFT PLATFORM.

That separates it from traditional spring-powered bolt-action airsoft rifles.

Gas provides the energy for firing, while the user manually operates the bolt as part of the firing cycle.

As with other gas airsoft platforms, operating characteristics can change with temperature, gas condition, seals and maintenance.

Always use the gas type specified by the manufacturer for this exact model.

HIGH-OUTPUT PLATFORM

CHECK BEFORE FIELD USE.

The supplied specifications describe this compact M700 as an:

EXTREME HIGH-POWER

airsoft platform.

Because no verified FPS or joule figure was supplied for this listing, a specific velocity should not be assumed.

Gas-powered bolt-action platforms can also vary in output depending on temperature, gas type, BB weight and internal condition.

Chronograph testing is essential before field use.

REAL WOOD // NATURAL VARIATION.

Real wood is one of the features that gives this M700 its distinctive character.

Natural grain, shade and minor surface variations are normal and should not automatically be considered defects.

Wood should also be kept away from excessive moisture, extreme heat and harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.

HIGH POWER // IMPORTANT FIELD NOTE.

The Matrix M700 Sawed-Off is described by the supplied specifications as an extreme high-power airsoft platform, but no specific manufacturer-tested FPS figure was provided.

Actual muzzle velocity and energy can change with gas type, ambient temperature, BB weight, seals, maintenance and individual product variation.

Always chronograph the M700 before field use and confirm that its measured output complies with the field’s current limits.
